BUSINESS IT AFRICA
I have had the occasion to work with A-Plus Communications frequently
and closely over the last ten years, in my capacity both as editor
of Computing SA and of BusinessIT Africa. A-Plus has its clients'
interest constantly at heart in that it is proactive in terms of
identifying and driving media opportunities. At the same time,
the company helps to facilitate the timely publication of articles
by being ever-ready to set-up and co-ordinate interviews, deliver
copy, drive well-organised events or commission photography on
our behalf.

MAIL & GUARDIAN
I have had very professional dealings with A-Plus and think you are
a competent and professional PR firm. During the time I've had this
position at the M&G you have been extremely helpful.
David Shapshak, Technology Editor
WINDOWS USER MAGAZINE
I have had a long and successful relationship with A-Plus. Their
level of professionalism has always been high. They have responded
rapidly to any queries, requirements or demands that I may have,
and readily suggest solutions when required (on deadline, editorial
ideas, etc).
From my perspective, A-Plus also has a wide knowledge of the industry,
and all indications are that the company is well-respected by other
members of the media, with whom they seem to have close relationships.

A-PLUS COMMUNICATIONS – DELIVERING ON OUR PROMISES
At A-Plus Communications social responsibility is a passion and
we are committed to delivering on our promises. We are constantly
on the look out - with the
help of our staff, who are drawn from a wide spectrum of communities – for
small organisations and individuals to support in any way we can.
POWA – People Opposing Women Abuse
A-Plus Communications chose POWA as our main project for 2001.
We gave our time and resources to organise the Women’s Day 2001 POWA Function held at
Summer Place. Our time and efforts were rewarded when we where able to hand
over a cheque for R65 000 that ensured the Sebokeng and Kathorus POWA offices
could run at full capacity for the year 2001 and various equipment donations.
REACH FOR A DREAM
A-Plus Communications staff ‘donated’ our time and ourselves to
arrange and run the annual Reach for a Dream Golf Day. We had the great pleasure
of handing a cheque of R60 000 to Reach for a Dream – all raised from
one very successful golf day.
“ The Reach for a Dream Foundation would like to thank A-Plus for their
kind and ongoing assistance and support. Without organisations such as A-Plus
we would not be able to carry on with the important work that we do.”
Sylvia de Jager, Reach for a Dream
IRISH WOMENS ASSOCATION
We are constant supporters of the Irish Womens Associations’ various
fundraising events. The IWA is a major sponsor of Orange Farm, Nkosi’s
Haven, Nazareth House to name but a few. A key focus of the IWA is to serve
the poor and to assist mothers and children with HIV or Aids.
KIDS HAVEN
We have a very long and rewarding association with the Sugar Bush Foundation
and Kids Haven. All our staff collect clothes, blankets and other household
items for the various shelters during the year. Our biggest drive is in November & December
when we collect and buy presents for all the children so that every child gets
a little gift on Christmas morning.
