POWA Event Raises Almost R170 000

A-Plus Communications, in association with HP South Africa, helped raise R168 384 for People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) at its annual HP/POWA Woman’s Day Lunch held at the Hilton Hotel in Sandton on Tuesday 7th August.

The event, which was attended by more than 400 local businesswomen, was sponsored by A-Plus, HP SA, Travel Creations, Radisson Hotels & Resorts, Comair, XBOX 360 and Nationwide Airlines and featured the hilarious Amanda Forrow as guest speaker as well as keynote address by Thoko Mokgosi-Mwantembe, managing director of HP South Africa.

The event featured a charity auction which helped raise funds for POWA.
